7 EASY BREAKFAST IDEAS FOR BUSY MORNINGS

Aug 29th 2019

We know that mornings in any house are always hectic (kids up and dressed, lunches made, permission slips signed at the last minute) and sometimes grab-and-go breakfasts are all that make the cut those days (after coffee, of course!) So for all of you modern moms running out the door, we wanted to make breakfast easy for you and your kids by rounding up some simple, delicious options to save you time and make mornings run a little smoother. Some of these can even be made the night before to save extra time! Here are our favorites:

1. DIY Waffles: Pop some Eggos in the toaster and then mix up the toppings – go traditional with butter and syrup or healthy with fresh fruit. Here’s a Modern Mom tip from BBH Beth: Microwave frozen blueberries and pour on top of waffles for a quick and healthy breakfast!

2. Smoothies: These are not only delicious and healthy, but they are also easy and can use whatever fruit or yogurt you have in the fridge! You can even place them in to-go cups so the kids can take breakfast with them in the car, too. Here is a great list of tasty, kid-approved smoothies to make!

3. Yogurt and granola: Pump up your kids’ yogurt by adding some yummy granola to make for an even more filling breakfast! If you have small containers, you can even make them ahead of time and leave them in the fridge ready for morning.

4. Muffins: Skip the sugary pop tarts and make a batch of muffins instead! The portions are perfect for kids to grab before school and they can be made the day, night, or even a few days before and last multiple mornings!

5. PB Wrap: How delicious does this easy peanut butter wrap look?! It’s perfect for little ones to hold and munch on and relatively mess-free!

6. Fruit kebabs: Customize these with the fruit you have in the fridge to make it even easier to prep! The fruit can be sliced beforehand and you and your kids can quickly put them together in the morning.

7. Breakfast burritos: If you have a little bit more time in the morning, breakfast burritos are always a good way to get a hearty breakfast and relatively easy to make and eat.
