CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK: CATHLEEN NALLI
Aug 28th 2019
What are the names of your kids and how did you choose their names?
Our son, Jonathan, almost 4, is named after my husband. Our 2 year-old daughter, Delaney, got her name due to my Irish heritage. We had originally decided on Grayce Delaney and then switched the order because we liked “Delaney” so much.
The best piece of advice you have ever received:
Don’t be afraid to ask for help
What is some good parenting advice or tips you would give to new moms?
Find a good babysitter, someone you trust completely, and schedule a massage for yourself and/or a date night with your spouse. Do whatever it is that you would consider a “treat.” These little loves we call our children can truly suck the life out of you sometimes. It’s so easy to get lost in the day-to-day routine and forget about taking care of yourself and other relationships.
If you had one free day all to yourself, what would you do?
I would spend it on a beach in Maui, with my feet in the sand and a cocktail in my hand. A good book, my iPod, sunglasses, and sunscreen wouldn’t hurt, either!
What is your favorite way to spend time with your kids and family?
Reading books are our favorite family activity. We love the minutes before bedtime when we’re reading stories and recapping our days. It’s amazing what comes out of their mouths right before they fall asleep
What are some of your interests?
I used to run in high school, but got away from it for a good amount of time. A few years ago, I laced up my running shoes again and now my husband and I run 5K races together. I just registered to run a 9K race in Chicago this fall. It is an all-female event sponsored by Title 9. I’m excited to train for this new challenge and longer race! Which Baby Be Hip product is your favorite to send as a gift?
I have always given the personalized bib and burp cloth combo as a gift. Now that many of my friends are having their second child, my “go-to-gift” has become the big sister/brother shirt and a burp cloth. I love the fact that these items are super cute, but also practical. There’s nothing worse than finding a random outfit in the closet that you forgot to wear on our child.
Thank you Cathleen for being our Customer of the Week, we loved to learn more about you!
