FEBRUARY MOMS: VALENTINE FUN WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES

FEBRUARY MOMS: VALENTINE FUN WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES

Aug 30th 2019

So you say you’re not crafty? No worries! Follow these simple directions and you will be the craftiest Mom on the block!

Valentine’s Day Snack: Love Snaps- Ingredients: square pretzel snaps, unwrapped Hershey Kisses and valentine colored M&Ms. Place the pretzels on a baking tray, unwrap the kisses and place one kiss in the middle of each pretzel, bake on the top rack of a preheated oven (300*) for about 7 minutes or until the chocolate is soft but not completely melted. Smoosh an M&M in the middle of the soft kiss, place in fridge for 10-15 minutes to let chocolate harden again and there you have it! Put on a heart shaped tray or put a bunch in cellophane bag and tie with a festive ribbon. Give to teachers, grandparents, neighbors or bring to the classroom Valentine Celebration. Yummy, Homemade fun! Love Snaps!

Home made Valentine Cards: “Have a Lolli” Valentine- Take a photo of your little one pretending to hold a giant lolli-pop. Print out enough photos for your child’s classmates. Photoshop or glue a message on each picture. Punch a hole in either side of your child’s hand and slide a Valentine Lolli, Tootsie or Blow Pop in the holes. This is an all-time favorite!

“Glad You’re in My School” Valentine Download a template from pinterest.com (Search School Valentine’s, you’ll find it!) Or have your child draw a fish bowl and sign their name by hand (old school!) Place your “fish bowl” in a cellophane bag and add sweedish fish. Tape or tie with a bow. Hint: Cardstock works best!

Valentine Arts and Crafts: You Melt My Heart- This was by far, my daughters’ favorite project ever. Buy a box of new crayons and an art canvas. Hot glue the crayons straight across the top of the canvas or in the shape of a heart or circle in the middle of your canvas. Take a hairdryer (not your good one, because it probably will get some wax on it) and melt the crayons. The melted design will cover your canvas and voila! Art to hang on your child’s wall or a great Valentine for Daddy or Grandma. See youtube.com for tons of ideas for this project and you get can a better idea of how and where to do it in your house. We did it in our basement over a huge tarp. (this is a messy project, but the end result will be fantastic!!)

Now that you are the mom of the year, go out and enjoy some well deserved time alone with your valentine! We’d love to hear from you here at babybehip.com. Any plans? xo.
