TWICE THE LOVE, TWICE THE JOY…TWINS!

TWICE THE LOVE, TWICE THE JOY…TWINS!

Aug 30th 2019

It’s double the giggles and double the grins, and double the trouble if you’re blessed with twins.

My cousin Molly and her husband Stephen (who is a twin himself) just announced they are having twins. My family is sooooo excited! This is big stuff! What is it about twins? Double the cuteness, I guess… and more to love! These won’t be the first twins in our family. I’m named after my mom’s twin sisters, Beth and AnneBethanne. I always loved telling people that, it made me feel special and important as a kid. I adored my aunts and I loved that most people couldn’t tell them apart, but I could! (btw–I still adore my aunts! My Aunt Anne is the reason my cousins still call me Bethanne to this day. “She’s not Beth”, she would say, “she’s Bethanne!!”)

Molly was methodical and creative with her big news. She timed her text announcement when she knew the family would be together celebrating my mother’s b-day. It just so happened that our relatives down south were celebrating my cousin’s b-day at the same time, so we all found out about the “two-rifficnews simultaneously and it was a blast to see and hear everyone’s reaction. Our phones were lighting up like Christmas trees and everyone was chiming in with their words of wisdom and congratulations. Some of us thought it was the best news ever and others, who shall remain nameless, think it’s not such great news….LOL– I guess they know all too well the work and sleepless nights that lie ahead–did I mention she has a spunky two year old named Annie? (Yes, Annie Elizabeth, after dear Aunt Anne and Aunt Beth again… my family tends to go a little overboard with namesakeswe really love each other!)

The fun didn’t end there… she posted a text thread to the grandparents and aunts, uncles and cousins by the dozens and told us to guess the combo of the twins. She said, “cast your vote and Santa will bring the answer”. We had a ball making our predictions (the adults had as much fun as the kids!) Of course, I weighed in with girl/girl, being the mother of three girls myself. oh, man….just the thought of three little ones under three years old make me shudder… It was as horrible as it was wonderful! I’ll tell Molly that someday, just not yet.

So, the family was together on Christmas Eve and “Santa” (well, it was really my Aunt Beth) announced… drum roll please….. that Molly is having twin girls! I was right! The “lucky” winners win a weekend of babysitting. Yippeeee! Does anyone know how to type sarcasm?? No… I’m really looking forward to it…really!

What will she name these little wonders. She’s making us wait until “Labor Day” for that announcement. I can’t wait to see how she discloses that news…. I’m sure she has a fabulous plan!

There’s two to wash, two to dry;
There’s two who argue, two who cry…
There’s two to kiss, two to hug;
And best of all, there’s two to love!

Luckily, we are prepared for that new twosome here at Babybehip.com. I can’t wait to shop for Molly and Stephen’s double bundle! I’m thinking about this twin set –shop twins here.

Of course I will post pictures of Molly and Stephen’s new little ladies, so stay tuned! Little do they know they are about to have two famous Baby Be Hip models!
