5 WAYS TO USE THE COLOR OF THE YEAR

Aug 29th 2019

Did you know this year’s Pantone “Color of the Year” is radiant orchid?! We’re super excited about this color, since we’re fans of anything purple and love that it is becoming more popular these days! The color of the year is already making a name for itself on the red carpet and runways, but we rounded up some ways our modern moms can incorporate purple tones into everyday life!

1. Baby showers

For girls, skip the pink and choose purple instead! Since radiant orchid is almost a magenta hue, we love the idea of pairing it with a bright green or a gold for more of an elegant color combo. Use it in the decorations for a trendy shower theme!

2. Nursery decor

If you’ve just had a girl or one is on the way, how fun would it be to paint the nursery the “color of the year” for the year the baby was born? Since radiant orchid complements a lot of colors, a nursery with neutral shades or brights would work well with this.

3. Flowers

If you normally keep a fresh (or fake!) bouquet in the house, swap out your normal spring hues for this new Pantone fav. It’s sure to be a hit when hostessing, and is the perfect pastel to have around for the spring months.

4. Kids birthday party

Again, switch it up from the tried and true pink and instead use this year’s color for your party inspiration. The perfect color for cake, decorations, and clothes for a birthday girl of any age.

5. Accessories

Our purple personalized buckets have been flying off the shelves these days, and with this new color trend we can see why! We love purple paired with green, pink, yellow, black and white, and more. Use the buckets to fill with books, toys, hair accessories, diapers/wipes, and more in a nursery, playroom, or big kid room!
