What are the names of your kids and how did you choose their names?

Our 3-year-old identical twin boys are Keegan Andrew and Quinlan John. Keegan is my middle name and Andrew is my husband’s name. We both loved the name Quinlan because it is of Irish decent. Andrew is from Ireland and I have Irish family roots as well. John is a family name on both sides of the family.

The best piece of advice you have ever received:

“You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they’ll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breathe and notice. Smell and touch them; study their faces and little feet and pay attention. RELISH THE CHARMS of THE PRESENT. Enjoy today, it will be over before you know it.”

What is some good parenting advice or tips you would give to new moms?

Take a nap when you put your baby down for a nap. The laundry and housework will get done, but it’s important to take care of you too! Everyone always says that time flies, but you don’t realize how true that is until you have children of your own! Truly enjoy EVERY minute, take a ton of photographs, keep a scrapbook and video, video, video!

If you had one free day all to yourself, what would you do?

I would sleep late (anytime past 7am would be amazing!) and then head to the gym followed by lunch, shopping and a manicure with a girlfriend.

What is your favorite way to spend time with your kids and family?

We love reading books together, going to the park & playground and going to the beach in the summer. The twins also love getting together with their cousins for extended family dinners at my mom’s house on Sundays.

What are some of your interests?

I have been a school district social worker for 12 years and love my job! Hobbies that I enjoyed before having kids (I rarely have time for them these days!) include playing tennis, reading and traveling. Although my adult time is limited, I absolutely adore being a mom more than I ever could have imagined. I am truly blessed!

Which Baby Be Hip product is your favorite to send as a gift?

My “go-to” gift is the set of personalized burp cloths. It was one of the best gifts I received after the twins were born. My boys STILL use theirs (now on their laps when they are having a messy snack) and they are 3. We also just purchased the seersucker backpacks for the boys that are adorable!
